Team News: West Brom vs Chelsea starting XI confirmed – Latest summer signing not even in the squad




Premier League champions look to get their first win of the season as they travel to Hawthorns to take on West Brom who are still feeling the effects of their opening day 3-0 defeat against Manchester City.

Ahead of the kick-off, we bring you the confirmed West Brom vs Chelsea team news and yes Chelsea fans, Pedro Rodriguez does get his first start for the Blues. Recently signed attacker from Barcelona gets straight in to the action as Jose Mourinho fields him in the front three along with Eden Hazard and Willian.

West Brom starting XI vs Chelsea: Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Brunt, Morrison, Fletcher (c), Yacob, McClean, McManaman, Rondon
SUBS: Rose, Chester, Lescott, Gnabry, Gardner, Anichebe, Lambert

Manager Tony Pulis has given the 12million signing Salomon Rondon his first start for West Brom as he looks to pick out any shortcoming in Chelsea’s defense. Darren Fletcher and Claudio Yacob will be responsible for curtailing Chelsea’s attacks from midfield.

Much was made of John Terry and his place in the side but as it stands the skipper starts and it is Gary Cahill who makes way for Kurt Zouma while new signing Pedro lines up in attack behind the fit-again striker Diego Costa. Other new signing Baba Rahman is not named in the squad.
